SintelSat Started a new Facility at the Center of Excellence at Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT)
CEWIT’s new building was opened in March, 2009 offers over 100,000 square feet of lab space.
Stony Brook, NY, September 1, 2009—Sintel Satellite Services, Inc. (SintelSat) started a new facility at the Center of Excellence at Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT).
Stony Brook's Center of Excellence in Wireless & Information Technology is a next generation research and educational facility. The CEWIT facility, housing 40 new research laboratories, was designed to enable an extraordinary scope of activity. It not only fosters specialized research and development in all major areas of wireless & information technology, it also promotes interdisciplinary work among various specialties and with advanced technology providers and customers in leading sectors of the U.S economy.
The new facility includes many new research and development laboratories for CEWIT’s 65 researchers and 200 graduate students. SintelSat will have an opportunity to work closely with CEWIT researchers to bring technologies to market.
