Sintelsat was founded in New York in September 1997 by Mr. Sanjay Singhal, who has been a visionary and pioneer in the telecom industry. Mr. Singhal has been associated with the satcom industry for the last two (2) decades and has advised many large & small companies on their business strategy, marketing plans and international presence and partnerships.

Mr. Singhal has extensive international experience in telecom, broadcast and IT services industry and have developed relationships on every continent.

Under the leadership of Mr. Singhal, Sintelsat has done business all over the globe. The company has been successful providing telecom systems, solutions, and networks worldwide. Sintelsat has opened offices in India, Philippines, Lebanon and recently opened offices in Dubai (UAE), Afghanistan and Iraq to address some of the government customers. The company is currently under negotiations to set up full time offices in Europe, Hong Kong and Africa. In last nine years, Sintelsat has developed business relationships in more than 50 countries in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia and has managed & implemented multi-million dollar satcom projects in more than 30 countries worldwide.

In the early part of his career, Mr. Singhal's satellite communications experience includes more than a decade of systems design, project engineering, program management, applications engineering, sales & marketing and business development experience with California Microwave - Satellite Transmission Systems (STS), New York and Telecommunications Specialists (TELSPEC), New York. Mr. Singhal traveled worldwide extensively and successfully engineered & managed many large and prestigious satcom programs.

Besides satellite communications, Mr. Singhal has advised and co-founded several other companies in service industry. Some of those successful companies are:

• Software People, Inc., New York (IT Outsourcing Organization)
• OmniGlobe, New York (Wireless Infrastructure Organization)
• A Satellite Communication Company in Lebanon, Middle East
• Harbinger, Inc., Washington, DC (IT Networking & Offshore Development Services)
• A leading BPO and IT Offshore Development Company in New Delhi, India

Mr. Singhal holds a dual degree Executive-MBA from Columbia Business School, New York and London Business School, UK, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Microwaves) from SUNY, Stony Brook, New York and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from IIT-Roorkee, India.

As a founder of the company, Ms. Prakash has developed excellent business relationships and set up alliances with high level contacts in the US, Middle East, Europe and Asia. She has built an extensive network of international contacts in the telecom, internet, and IT outsourcing related businesses for Sintelsat in the past seven (7) years.

Accomplished administrator, decision maker, public relations manager in High Technology Business Environment for about nine (9) years. Strategic planning and relationship development in high growth businesses. International experience in setting up partners, relationships, business development in multi-culture environment with focus on long term growth and ROI. Global citizen and expatriate with relationships on four continents.

Manisha holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Masters degree (MA) in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Meerut. She has completed Business Administration Program for Business Owners at Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth College, an Ivy League School).
